Classical music is art music which is produced or rooted into the traditions of secular music which encompasses the broad period which is from right around the 9th century up to present day. Classical music wasn't coined as such until the 19th century came around. This happened when they attempted to canonize the Bach to Beethoven period and coin it as the golden age. Classical music's earliest reference is found in 1836 and was recorded by the Oxford English Dictionary.

Due to the broad genres, forms, styles along with the historical periods which are professed generally as the term of "classical music" it's virtually impossible to list all of the characteristics which are attributable to those types of works. There is no lack of the more vague descriptions like that of it being anything that has "lasted a long time" and so forth. No matter what you define classical music as there's a podcast here for you. You can browse the most popular and search for what you're looking for.

You can listen to new favorites and old favorites with access to the entire shows history. Once you've found a show that you really like you can go back to all of the old episodes and take a look at what made your show what it was back from its very humble beginnings. Look through all of the options and you can search for what you're looking for. When it comes to finding a classical podcast there is definitely something here for you.
